Mahakaushal Sugar & Power Industries is planning to raise capacity of its sugar from 1,500 tccpd to 8,000 tccpd at Bachai village in Narsimhapur district of Madhya Pradesh

The project will also include expansion of co-generation power unit capacity from 12.8 MW to 27.8 MW

The expansion will entail an investment of Rs 52 crore and funding will be done through bank loans. The company has submitted Form 1, pre-feasibility report and draft terms of reference (ToR) for approval of the project in August 2019

the company is awaiting environment clearance for the project. Contractor and machinery supplier are yet to be finalised

Work on the project is expected to commence by August 2020
